2006
American English Skills Development Center Inc. was established in March 2006 at Ayala Avenue, Makati — in the heart of the Philippine business district. Our founding mission: to help Filipinos and non-native English speakers communicate with confidence, clarity, and professionalism. Our very first partnership was with TESDA and the Pasay City Government, where we trained over 2,000 unemployed college graduates and out-of-school youth in Business English — helping them gain employment and launch their careers.
By 2007, American English expanded into corporate training — offering fully customized Business English, Cross-Cultural Communication, and Executive Coaching programs across diverse industry sectors. Programs were designed to improve employee productivity, enhance international client communication, and build global workplace readiness. Our client roster grew quickly to include multinationals, government agencies, embassies, and top Philippine corporations.
2010s
Our reach extended beyond the Philippines into Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Japan, the Netherlands, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, the UK, Canada, and the United States. We launched Pisara.com — our dedicated online learning platform — to bring accessible English language education to Filipino professionals and students nationwide and abroad. Government and public sector clients including Land Bank, GSIS, and various LGUs joined our corporate roster.
Ahead of the curve, American English shifted its core focus to online education and digital learning in 2019. We pioneered blended and fully online training delivery — ensuring our clients could access world-class Business English training from anywhere, at any time. When the global pandemic changed the way the world worked, we were already ready — our online programs were seamlessly running with zero disruption.
